how come you _can_ see the lcd screen on the w60 9 in the sunlight but
the lcd on a cell phone goes totally black?
If technology can do it on a camera why not the phone?

Lots of camera manufacturers have specifically designed their LCD's to be
visible in bright sunlight. Definitely the newer models. (The original models
of various brands often had that complaint so they worked on it over the
years). My new Canon XSi (which also has a good viewfinder, the XT viewfinder
was
useless), lets one adjust the brightness of the LCD. Which most newer cameras
do. In other words, most cells phones, even the newer ones, don't have LCD's
that have been tweaked as much as camera LCDs have.

Answer is: You probably have an older, and cheaper, cell phone.

Heh.
