ann (who likes to see the name of the person calling her even if she is outside in bright light.. not to mention seeing the number she called) a =========== Lots of camera manufacturers have specifically designed their LCD's to be visible in bright sunlight. Definitely the newer models. (The original models of various brands often had that complaint so they worked on it over the years). My new Canon XSi (which also has a good viewfinder, the XT viewfinder was useless), lets one adjust the brightness of the LCD. Which most newer cameras do. In other words, most cells phones, even the newer ones, don't have LCD's that have been tweaked as much as camera LCDs have. Answer is: You probably have an older, and cheaper, cell phone. Heh.
