My feeling is that the "Wood" should have the sun raking across its suffice on 
at least a good part of the camera side. I'd try a couple of the open end (from 
an angle) and with good DoF, just to take a look. 
I'd, also, move around to clean up the background.
I'm missing the "Boat" shot.
The barn, as I mentioned earlier, is less than dramatic and does need shot 
under the sweet light of morning or evening, depending on the positioning of 
the scene.
A warm summer version with greenery and a juiced up red might be worth a try.
