I wonder if these objects are Venus and Jupiter. They are reasonably close together at present and can be very bright. Jupiter sets first leaving Venus, the brighter one, alone and very low on the horizon, much like your second image. Not an expert on these things, though....... Cheers Brian ============= Could be.
