that's to be expected. With all due respect to flower shots, pretty much anybody with a modicum of photographic expertise could go out and take a picture like that at any time these things are in season. Photographers are more used to looking, and look at far more pictures in a far more critical way than non-photographers, so our expectations are different. I would say they're higher.
