I checked my Gmail inbox before I reposted, because my posts usually appear in the webmail version even though they don't get forwarded to my home account. This time there was nothing there. Strangely, when I sent the repost the old mail suddenly popped up. I'll watch this in future but it seems that google has changed the default setting so that a thread doesn't get displayed until a reply arrives. There's no option to change it, but it's puzzling because, strictly speaking, the original message is incoming from PDML and should be displayed, even if I wrote it myself.
