I wish it were because they were cowards, however terrorists who smash
their organizations on hard targets, and most leaders are very hard
targets these days, aren't very terrible. However it's easy to rip
through a population of unarmed civilians. It doesn't take that much
training and if you don;t plan to come back it takes even less. All you
need is élan.

I don't know how may PDMLers we have in India but Subash is certainly

Foreigners seem to have been the main targets of todays' terrible events
in Mumbai but, as in all cases like this, locals invariably get caught
up in it.
Subash (and any others in India), I'm sure all of us hope you are all
safe and that calm will return soon.
Why is it that terrorists seem to target innocent civilians? Why
don't they go after the leaders?
I guess the answer is that they're cowards.
My heart goes out the the victims and their families and friends, and
the people of Mumbai and India. Hopefully this matter can be resolved
with a minimum of further bloodshed.
cheers,
