You can pick up a nice IIIf or IIIc for $400. Add a Summicron 50/2 Collapsible for another $400 or so, and you have a highly functional and quite beautiful camera.

You can pick up a functional M3 right now for well under $1000US.  I'd
have to sell almost all my Pentax gear to get an M3 and a single 50mm
