Well, for someone who professes love of subtlety to be almost exclusively wedded to a system that has either "on" or "off" as its base functionality...... I metioned chimping because I have seen a few modern films where the gangs of paparazzi have obviously been issued with whatever old SLR the props department had in stock. Many of them had thumb winders that were being applied vigorously. The "photographer" would then gurn at the back of camera.
