I know what you mean about the gentleman.  I waited quite a while for
him to move on, but he didn't.  So, I settled for a moment when he was
looking at the door in anticipation, waiting for whomever was inside
shopping.  This was really all the facade there was;  below what you
see in the photo is, IIRC, bare concrete or something else
unattractive and uninteresting.

I was uncertain about including the yellow awning and blue ice cream
case at the right;  they add color and expand the scene a bit, but
they also distract somewhat from the main focus of the shot.
