I assume you are referring to the Sigma EX series with the constant f4 aperture. This is an excellent lens, I have one and am very pleased with it; it has also received very good reviews in several photo mag's, including Pop Photo.
It is a substantial piece of glass if you are used to consumer grade lenses in this focal length with variable apertures. However, if you can handle the price and the weight, this is a high quality lens both optically and mechanically, and one of the very few with this focal length in a pro grade lens. Cheers, Mike.
