My guess is that he probably meant 110 kilometres per hour.  That would be about
65-70 mph.  Being that the US is about the only country not using metric that I
know of...

Then there are us old farts in Canada - brought up on Imperial, converted
(kicking and screaming) to metric due to government decree back in the 70's.
