Pentax offers more than just the 16-50 and 18-55. I've owned both of those (16-45 when I had my K100D, 17-70 with the K10D) and liked both a lot. The 17-70 also makes a nice 17mm f2.8 prime if you use the zoom lock (which is how I normally used it). -- M.
