Then maybe I should still consider the Canon S800 and S630.
I'm considering upgrading my scanner from my current Epson 1200U to a 1650.
Especially since I found my transparency adapter fits both. It would upgrade
my 35mm scans from 3.9 MP to 6.9 MP and my 6x6 scans to 28.5 MP from 16 MP.
Not to mention going from 36 bit to 48 bit. So far I've just never found the
need for a dedicated film one even though I'd love to have a Minolta Scan
Pro (4900 Dpi, 4.2 dynamic range, and MF format also).

The C80 is nice, but very expensive to run. A set of 4
cartridges just cost me CAN$120.00. It looks like a set is going
to be good for about 30 8x10 prints.
