A Kirk King cobra or the big Wimberly sell in the $450/600 range. Definitely
the first class was to go IMHO - I have the King Cobra & highly reccommend
it. Wimberly does sell a cheaper ($250) gimbal head "adapter" The Sidekick
http://www.tripodhead.com/products/sidekick-main.cfm that slips into
another head to allow the gimbal motion & yet still have a useable head for
use with lesser lenses.
