Well...from the sample photos online...the Optio 440 has improved over the color of the 330, but the overall image quality still doesn't look up to the quality of the FA 35/2 AL attached to a Pentax SLR (to me, anyway). Therefor, I'll stick with my ZX-5n for now (or spend your hypothetical dough on a new MZ-S).
