If your serious instead of just ranting about this you could probably get any of these, if they are really made, from any one of the NYC mail order firms that deal in gray market items from abroad. Doesn't take an idiot to figure this out. It's the only way you can get an MZ-3 in the USA, short of buying it directly from a dealer overseas. Pentax like others have marketing mottos that mean if we don't sell it here you can't get it here. Look at Minolta, the 9 is a Maxxum in the US, an Alpha in Japan, and a Dynax every where else. Look at the Minolta Maxxum/Alpha/Dynax 9ti Titanium. they only made 1000 and there were strict allocations to each distributor. So when the US supply dried up you just hunted around the world for somebody who still had some (Holland in fact and the dealer was selling them world wide on Ebay). Kent Gittings

Seems to me if Pentax USA told you THEY don't sell them and they can't get them, then you need to do something else. Like, talk to somebody who does, and can. Or doesn't that stand to reason? Seems obvious enough to me. Talk to some folks in England. Talk to a friend in Japan. I don't see what you stand to gain from complaining so bitterly that Pentax USA can't do something that they told you (plainly) they can't do. --Mike - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
