I suspect it was Druids. I was in Salisbury on 20th/21st June, which
is the evening before the solstice, and only a few miles from
Stonehenge. Next year I think I'll go for the full-on pagan
experience. The sacrifice of all the first-born in Ashmore will be on
Friday 20th, and the next day the solstice falls on a Saturday, so the
Druids won't have to go to the office that day or the next and will no
doubt be really up for it, Wicker-Man-wise. I think I'll have to make
a long weekend of it.
