I would highly recommend the MX, it�s an extremely compact and 
fully mechanical semi-pro model.  It�s simple and has some nice 
features. It�s my favorite camera (after the LX). You can get a 
decent one on ebay for about $150. You won�t regret it. I have 
several, I even dropped down some concrete stairs, it looked like 
hell, but still worked. Just beware that the light seal foam on the lens 
mount and back door deteriorate and need to be replaced.
