Piezography, essentially, is a set of black/graytone inks which replace the
colored inks in an Epson printer. The inks are available at
http://www.inkjetmall.com/store/piezographyBW.html and there is information
there as well. MIS is their primary competitor from what I have read, and
there are (of course) arguments as to which system is better, though MIS is
apparently substantially less costly.
If you are seriously interested, there is a newsgroup devoted to B&W
printing called Digital B&W which you can join at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint
The website also has uploaded files and information which may be of help.

Subject: OT: Piezography
| Normally, I would not have brought this up here. But, in light of some of
| the current topics I thought I'd go ahead and ask my question. I've seen
in
| the back of Shutterbug magazine ads for kits to convert your Epson Photo
| printer into a B&W "Piezography" printer. First question, what exactly is
| "Piezography?" Second question, has anyone tried these conversion kits?
How
| well does it work? What do the prints look like? I am not asking for a
| comparison between a Piezography print and a trad darkroom print. Is there
a
| better way to digitally print B&W at home? Thank you for your replies.
