I would stay with the Fuji 400 and/or try out Kodak Supra 400 - the RG 1000
does not look to hot.

Subject: More Film Advice
| Howdy, folks,
|
| Well, I'm going to the Petit le Mans at Road Atlanta again this year.
| I need some advice on film that will help me get the "brake rotors
| glowing at night" images. Last year I used RG 1000, and wasn't
| completely pleased with it. Does anyone out there have a favorite
| color print film for this sort of thing? Some examples of the shots
| I'm trying to get are

|
| The last three are RG 1000; the first two are Fuji 400. The last two
| weren't really night but it was deep dusk, and they're overexposed in
| the print. I don't know enough about evaluating the negatives to know
| if they're overexposed in the negatives, too.
