I think we could all do the numbering ourselves without any effort on the
part of the list maintainer. We just need to establish a specific number
code for subject lines and use it consistently. Then instead of laboriously
typing in a subject we could simply enter the appropriate number:
The "Film is better than digital" thread could be "1"
The "Anything with more electonics than the LX is evil" thread could be
"2"
The "Pentax 67 is better than the Nikon F5" thread could be "3"
etc.
etc.
etc.
We might need to go to double digits some day.
Naaah.
