Ok this was a very informal test, I got 4 radio shack
1600 mha nimh AA batteries and brand new kodak
photolife batteries, put them in the AF330 and tried
it, recharge time was 5-6 sec and I fired 200 test
shots with no drop in recharge time at full power ( MH
manual mode ) then put the photo life batteries and
did it again, the photo life batteries did last for
more shots but after 50 the recharge times started to
get longer and by 200 it would take 20 sec. The cheap
radio shak rechargeables were then placed into my
achiever flash and would charge it in 6-7 sec ( this
is AFTER 200 shots in the AF330 ) and lasted another
50 shots but unlike alkalines they just die with no
warning. I think no more alkalines in my flashes any
more and with a 1 hr car charger I can make it through
a few rolls of film a night easily.
