This will probably not be as noisy as powering a lens from it, as the screw will be under minimal load. This is sort of my point - the ability to take USM lenses is already there and it wouldn't require any camera mods to work. Of course it would work *better* with a body designed specifically to do it, but you'll still be able to stick your FA*USM lens on an LX, PZ, or MZ body and have it work as well as that body can drive it. dave - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
