if the scene itself is static, the light is certainly isn't...
Tell me landscapes are static the next time I've stopped the lens
down to f/32 and the wind is gusting, blowing not only the grass in
the foreground but also small clouds that keep blocking the sun.
That shot took a while to get :)
You're definitely right about sunsets. The same thing applies to
sunrises, of course. The last one I did, I was on my last roll of
120. I really hate not knowing whether I should take a photo now or
wait another couple of minutes...
(That sunrise turned out to be pretty unspectacular anyway)
