Actually, I have saved so much money not owning a car over you car guys that I could buy full set of Pentax lenses thrice... ;-) These calculations are in my not so humble opinion a bit meaningless... unless done very carefuly. George said that he did that, could you please elaborate? To have some merit, it would have to include not only the obvious like new computer, peripherials but also the time needed to set up all the software, devise a working backup scheme *and stick to it*, time spent adjusting in photoshop over time in darkroom, time spent learning all the new tricks of photoshop, all the nifty little plugins that add up, cost of new spinal column and eyes (destroyed in front of computer) vs. cost of new lungs (destroyed in the chemical darkroom), et cetera... :) YMMV, of course...
