Hey Ed,
That sounds like a workable setup. I usually use a 400 speed film and don't
get past 1:2--I like having part of the critter's environment in the
shot, and my hands (except in certain positions) are too unsteady for slow
film at high mag.
If it was a 10 minute drive, I'd certainly be there quite often. I'd love a
chance to shoot the developmental cycle, all the way through, for an
individual insect.
