I agree with you Tim.
I have friends from Kosovo. Down there they are still arguing about
wrongs that were done 600 years ago. In that time they have had people,
a few, but enough, trying to wipe the others out again and again, but
the dead always have kids and relatives who remember.
If you'll excuse me, sir.
They do NOT remember, do they.
They have been given some word-of-mouth memory stories.
and with he fervent zeal of religionists, it builds and builds, all out
of proportion.
They remember NOTHING!
They weren't THERE! Most of the people who are prodding them onward were
to there! That's a fact.
Some of them want
revenge, and the revenge often hurts the innocent who in turn will have
relatives and children to remember the wrongs that were made.
I think history tells us that wiping people out does not help. Maybe we
should learn from Machiavelli who set out to teach one of the worst
dictators of his time. If we have to do something bad then do it quick,
and follow up by doing good over a long period of time.
Think about it...
Isn't that precisely what the U.S. is doing?
They rebuilt iraq, staarting with Baghdad, etc. They are far better off
than when Saddam ran the place, and if you're honest, you know that...
Then the prince
will be loved.
