Hi Shel you better ask the computer pro's here on the list ;-) have a look at "regcompactnet" at http://www.experimentalscene.com/?type=1&id=regcompact. It is freeware and simple to use.
But it has to be said clearly: Don't mess with the registry if not necessary. It will not bring a lot performance wise to clean out unused and obsolete entries. Do not even think about deleting entries manually without knowing e x a c t l y what you do! Even then, a registry backup before doing anything is a must. Look for a freeware tool like "startup.cpl" to delete unnecessary programs starting with windows again only if you know what you do. That can improve performance since a lot of programs add themselves or parts of them to the startup procedure. Better ask me offline if you are not sure.... greetings Markus >>-----Original Message----- >>From: Shel Belinkoff [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] >>Sent: Tuesday, July 05, 2005 6:36 PM >>To: pentax-discuss@pdml.net >>Subject: Re: OT - Cleaning and Defragmenting Windows Registry >> >> >>ThanksPeter ... >> >>Shel >> >> >>> [Original Message] >>> From: P.
