I had one and recommend against it. The image quality is very good, but It's a very slow operating camera with a menu control system which is mind numbing in complexity ... the owner's manual runs 235 pages or so. RAW format saves take 18 seconds during which time the camera is completely locked up.

I sold it. Still have my Konica Minolta A2... which is the best of the small-sensor, fixed lens 8Mpixel cameras IMO. I have hardly used it since I bought the *ist DS, however.
