This nineteenth century building is indeed in Hawaii, right on the main
drag (Alii Street) in Kauilua-Kona.
I think that the composition could be a bit stronger by moving the door more
off center and maybe even going closer.
You are correct on both counts, I am afraid to say.
The floor and the stones lack a bit of detail which could be fixed
on the computer. Is it slightly overexposed or is that my monitor setting?
This shot was taken around noon time on a bright and sunny tropical
day. That is why the wooden walkway is someshat washed out. I left it
that way, however, because it gives a hint of the weather and latitude.
It was dark on my monitor, so I brightened it a bit before submitting
it. That may have been a mistake.
