Congrats Butch, you are going to have a lot of fun. I lost my eye cup when I was negotiating some dense scrub with my *ist D swinging by my side so they do get lost but I wouldn't say that they just fall off, they have to be provoked! My solution came in the form of a nylon cable tie, I don't thin a band would keep it on if it got a decent knock.
