Tim, we've had a lot of threads in recent months about shooting Raw. You might find the archived posts of interest. Several of them recommend a book ("Real World Camera Raw" is the title, I think) which I can't recommend myself because I haven't read it ... I did post a link to some articles on the Adobe site which I *have* read and found useful. I'm feeling too lazy to look them up again at the moment :-) but that post should be in the archived threads too.

Bruce Fraser - "Real World Camera Raw with Photoshop CS2" is now available, an update of the original "Real World Camera Raw with Photoshop CS". It's probably the best book available on the subject just at present.

The Photoshop CS2 page on Camera Raw features includes links to the articles ERNR mentioned:

Both were written by Bruce Fraser. There are other materials available through their website as well.

Bruce's book on color management is also one of the better texts on the subject.
