It is always better to have more data in my opinion. If you have bigger 
image you can always crop more, noise from high ISO settings will be 
more reduced in resizing from 6MP, and if she happens to shot something 
really nice you wont't be sorry that it can't be printed big enough. 
Given quite low prizes for memory cards I would stick to maximum resolution.
