Ask Cotty. He had one (and sold it, IIRC?) Actually, it's not bad IMO. Pretty sharp, even wide open! Just _very_ flarey. But it is designed for full frame film (designed is a bad word - it's almost unusably soft on film, makes sense only on reduced frame sensors). Good thing is that it can be had cheaply when used (Sigma lenses don't hold value well), and with a bit of filing away you can use the 1.7x crop lenshood which does help with the flare problem (the lens comes with removable lenshood designed for reduced frame digital cameras, but it vignettes a bit on the Sony 1.5x sensors - filing away corners solves it nicely).
