There were a few of us with seperated elements in the 28-70/4. By Pentax's silence I assume these elements are not available. This would be a good solution for someone, I'm out of bucks right now so it won't be me. I would suggest though that someone use their seperated lens as a donor for a front element for this one. It's MUCH easier to change.
