Amy, what focusing mode are you using? If you are letting the camera 
pick the autofocus sensor, try using the central sensor only and 
recomposing after locking focus.

Richard Day on dpreview has posted photos of backfocus problems with the 
FA 24 f2.0 lens in close-up mode. I know of no other lens with such 
problems.
