Hey gang,
I just ordered a couple of largish prints (16x20) from ofoto.com for my new house (keeping my fingers crossed) . . . . I would REALLY like to do something though, but don't know quite how to go about it.
My mind is going back to several older historic houses that I've been in across the country. In the sitting room of one in particular there were very large windows. Hanging from these windows in a metal frame were large clear black and white prints. Now my memory isn't serving me quite as well as it used to, but I was thinking that these were large format black and white prints . . . possibly on glass. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? The subject matter in this particular case was southwestern Native American architecture.
Continuing to think aloud . . . I would like to do something similar . . . black and white (or even color) largish . . . to be hung in front of a window that allows light to stream through. Does anyone know of a process or service that can/is capable of doing this? Poster sized prints on a clear backing?
Thanks in advance for the ideas, IL Bill
