The Costco here had one of the Noritsu console damaged for the same reason 
as well. The way the slot was design, it is not difficult to bend the pins, 
especially when people got nervous and being rough.

Good point. We had our countertop unit down for almost a week because some 
jackass customer (I hate those bastards) managed to bend a pin on our CF 
slot.
The pin grounded out the reader and the multicard drive and the motherboard 
had to be replaced.
