Sorry 'bout the second look, Shel. I had to delete the older ones due to the same file names. I'll make better test in colour some day. Right now a friend has my 35mm lens, since I don't use it much.
I did some test comparing Pentax F 35-80mm, Tokina AT-X 2.6-2.8/28-70mm and the Tokina 2.8-4.3/28-70mm. I couldn't really tell the difference from digital images (*ist D)! The resolution of the *ist D sensor seems to put a stop to things long before the lenses do... Hmmm... I guess I'll have to compare some slides on a screen instead! I guess we have different ideas about what is acceptable ... from what I can see the lens is not very usable @ 2.8, except in certain situations, due to light fall off, and, of course, sharpness is difficult to judge on a computer screen. I went back to take another look at the full size pics and received a message that the foto was no longer on the site. So much for taking another look ;-)) Let's just agree to disagree. Mine's gone and I don't care if I ever see it again. I would not feel that way about the K35/3.5, or any number of other lenses.
