I am choosing between the 24 F2 SMC FA ($310) and the K 24 F2.8 ($205). Both
are in EX condition. Each has its obvious advantages and disadvantages, that I
am considering. :-] (price, size, weight, filter thread, autofocus, speed,
... tough call!)
The used FA*24 doesn't cost that much less than a new one, but with new one I
would have to pay customs fee.
NY Camera in Germany has new FA*24 for 567,00 euros (>$720!), which is almost
twice as much as new one at Adorama. Czech stores are even more expensive.
As to _why_ I want that lens: I would like a decent wideangle lens so I can
retire the Promaster 28/2.8 that I bought years ago just to check out the focal
length. And I want an X-mas present. *-={:-)}}}>
