Take a photo of the sky or white wall F 11 or higher,and look at it in PS or what have
you. They will
show up as little dark greyish smudges and always in the same spots.
I heard the D1x was prone to dust on the CCD right from the box,so it looks like it
may be
a common
problem.
Keep a nice,LARGE,blower in your camera bag.Small specks should come off easly.
My used D1 had water marks on the CCD from the previous owner trying to pick large
specks
of dust
off at a moto cross event. He had no blower with him apparantly. ;-)
I had to find this out the hard way.No mention by him.
Actually,i never hear from him after cashing my cheques in 2001<g>
As long as i had dirt in my shot bottom right as printed,i was ok. I eventually had to
have Nikon clean it
($90.00 Canadian) and they said it was the worst one they had seen in a while.LOL
It worked though.
My D2h on the other hand has seen a number of poor conditions this year but no signs of
the
bunnies,however i know they will show up eventually.
Unfortunaltly, it comes with the territory and shows up more in the larger DOV
aperatures.
