Isn't it amazing how one's perspective is influenced by one's situation. For instance, when I first looked at the photo I saw dispair and felt lucky that I was not in that situation. Upon closer inspection I noticed that the woman is smiling. Even in her situation she still has something to smile about. Makes me feel bad for ever thinking that my situation was bleak. If a good photo is one that makes you think, then this is a great photo, Shel.
