I laughed when he said that, too.  Strictly speaking, he's right, of
course, and I guess that "destination" and "destiny" aren't that far
apart in either pronounciation or meaning.

I'm glad he won the MVP, but I don't know how they couldn't have given
it to Curt Schilling.  I know it's hard to give it to a starting
pitcher who usually only starts every 4 or 5 days (rarely on 3 days
rest in the playoffs), but what Schilling did out there on that mound
with blood oozing out of that "surgery" was inspiring - and I don't
usually use that word to refer to  a multi-millionare playing a boy's
game.

But I digress.  

Congrats to the Boston Red Sox.  It was a long time coming.  I'm happy
for them, but even more, I'm happy for their fans, who've stood by
them all those years.

Next year, the Cubbies!!!  (as if...)
