Thank you, Tom. Yes, this young lady was very intent on what she was doing, and not
put off by my photographing her. Like you, I don't normally photograph people, so this
is hard work to get an image I like. I took a portrait photography class last year
just to learn how to do it better.
I should mention that the lens was a 70-210mm f4, not 80-200. And the flash was
on-camera, diffused by a mini-lightbox.
And yes, I did have an enlargement made for her mother, at no cost to her!

My son loves to come to work with me. It's obviously a long term strategic
planning session. Again, I like the use of DOF and how the girl stands out
from both the background and foreground. It really concentrates attention
on the main subject. Have you offered an enlargement to her parents?
