But it is effectively Av; you set the aperture on the lens and press the green button 
before taking the picture.

    I never figured out the three different sets of custom settings Square 1, 2
    and 3 ???. My German manual doesn't seem to mention this. Perhaps this came
    with the firmware 1.11 ??
    Anyway, I believe, I may have switched from square 1 to square 2, without
    noticing, thus getting a whole new set-up. This started my conffusion.
    
    And I'm still mad at Pentax for not allowing Av on K and M lenses, which
    can't be too ard to fix. Next upgrade perhaps? Pentax might even charge us
    for a firmware uograde like that - 49.95 USD would be OK with me! (Are you
