If you remember correct, then this is rip off :).

It is not that easy a choice. I have MZ-6 and it is good camera, but

1. it has no center-weighted metering (unless you mount pre-A lens)
2. it has no flash compensation
3. it has rather poor viewfinder

But of course

1. MZ-6 is totally compatible with all Pentax lenses
2. It has faster shutter
3. It has support for newest Pentax flashes

I think that in order to make an educated choice one would have to handle each
of these cameras at least for one film worth of shooting and see for oneself
:).

Thanks to Jostein I had my hands on PZ-1 and MZ-S (both with grips)... And so my
opinion of my MZ-6 is now rather low :). Fortunately I have some friends who
talked some reason into my head... Though I admit to missing an opportunity to
sell my MZ-6 and buy PZ-1p from the list...

Life is tough on PDML, really tough :).
