Perhaps it has to do with cost, but the bike sports
(roadracing and motocross) seem to have as much
diversity as drag racing -- though I've yet to see
a female motocrosser! ;-)

Not that _some_ couldn't do it well, but motocrossing takes a lot of tough, wiry upper body strength. A lot of it!
Add stamina, and most women simply can't handle the rigors of it. They're not built like men. Way it is...not a put down.
Most men can't do it, train as they might. It takes a young kid!
