There's a company that keeps putting 6 14mm DAs on eBay on 3 day auctions at GBP
299.99. What's the chances of them being ex-stock? They are based in Canada.

I leave for Hungary a week from today, and would love to have the DA 14
that I ordered on June 3. On Friday I called Pentax USA, and was told
that it was going out to dealers. So I thought perhaps there's still a
little hope that I might have it in time. Today I called Adorama, and
the customer dis-service department tried to give me the usual brushoff.
I insisted, though, so the rep. said that Adorama's buyer would call
Pentax to see when the lenses would ship. Six hours and multiple calls
to Adorama later, the answer was that Pentax USA has not shipped any of
the DA 14s to dealers yet.
Ask me how steamed I am at Pentax.
So in lieu of the DA 14 I will take the Zenitar 16 mm. f2.8 fisheye. It
is quite sharp on the *ist D, but still produces distortion at its edges.
