Ever see that fameous drawing of young George Eastman going out to take some photographs? He was carrying his gear on his back, something like 80-90lbs of it. That is supposed to be what motivated him to start manufacturing dry plates and later develop photographic film.

:-) ?
I can't afford a mule or llama to carry all the wet plate stuff
around, and I have never been into still-lifes.
