Thank you Frank. I have had a black ME for a while, and I love the solid feel plus plain old beauty of it. The biggest problem with it of course is the fact that you have very little control over the exposures. Its basically aperture priority automatic with some exposure compensation. But the MX is everything the ME is in beauty, and more in functionality.

I was able to do the "mirror lock up" thing once by pressing the shutter button down quickly, but was unable to reproduce it. Can you make yours do that repeatedly?

For my money, the black MX is the most beautiful slr
Pentax (or anyone else, for that matter) ever made. As most of you know, I have a silver one that I love,
but I still covet black ones (Greywolf has a beauty as
well).
